Jícaro, Crescentia cujete, like C. alata, is a recognized species due to its usefulness for making bowls. In addition, there are several studies that show that it’s useful to fight diseases caused by fungi. Like C. alata, C cujete is an important species for scientific research due to its diverse utilities for the human being and the ecosystem.
