    This is the most noticeable large Aechmea bromeliad in the entire park. mentions Aechmea bromeliaefolia on pages 40 and 53 (now spelled Aechmea bromeliifolia) (Rudge) Baker.
    This we have not yet found. mentiones Aechmea kienastii on page 53; modern name is now Aechmea tillandsioides (Mart. ex Schult. & Schult.f.) Baker.
    This we have found in two locations at Yaxha.
